Itinerary Brief

Days 1-3

Buenos Aires

  • 2 nights in Argentina’s cosmopolitan capital of Buenos Aires.
  • Explore the history, culture and passion on a private walking tour.
  • Dinner & tango show at one of Buenos Aires’ most prestigious venues.

Few cities in the world are as attractive or diverse as Buenos Aires. Filled with passion, romance, culture and history, Buenos Aires is an unforgettable and vibrant city. From old-world cafes, colonial architecture, tango, delicious food and wine; visiting Buenos Aires will keep you coming back for more. Walk through the affluent streets of Recoleta to discover why it is often called the ‘Paris of South America’, experience the traditional side of the city in San Telmo and La Boca and, enjoy the huge variety of restaurants and wine bars in the lively neighborhood of Palermo. While exploring the downtown area you’ll be surrounded by beautiful buildings and a fascinating history. As you watch one of the city’s best tango shows you’ll be swept off your feet by the passion of the tango and you’ll see why so many travelers have fallen in love with this elegant and captivating city!

Days 3-5

Salta “La Linda” & Surroundings

  • 2 nights in the beautiful city Salta ‘La Linda’ in northern Argentina.
  • Visit wineries of Cafayate, admire the views of Quebrada de las Conchas.
  • Enjoy traditional food & music at one of the many local peñas (folk bars).

Known within Argentina as Salta La Linda (Salta the Beautiful), the city of Salta and its surrounding landscapes certainly do its nickname justice. With outstanding museums, candlelit cafes in Salta’s central plaza and the sounds of live folkloric music make this colonial city one of the most authentic places to explore in Argentina. During your stay in Salta you’ll visit the nearby charming town of Cafayate, home to Argentina’s famed white wine, Torrontes. Along the way the red rock of the Quebrada de las Conchas which has been sculpted into all sorts of strange shapes and formations will keep you more than entertained on the journey. Cafayate’s wineries are on a much smaller and more intimate scale than those found in Mendoza and therefore allow you to get a greater insight into the wine making process.

Days 5-7

Mendoza & Surroundings

  • 2 nights in Mendoza, a city in the heart of Argentina’s Wine Region.
  • Tour wineries & vineyards of Lujan de Cuyo and the Maipu Valley.
  • From Malbecs to Cabernets & Bonardas, perfect your wine tasting.

With wine flowing as freely as water, Argentina’s famed wine region of Mendoza produces some of the best New World Wine varieties such as Malbec. The city of Mendoza and the endless rows of grapevines found on the city’s outskirts in the Maipú Valley and in Luján de Cuyo are watched over by the surrounding and spectacular snowcapped peaks of the Andes. During your stay in Mendoza you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore the winemaking process at some of South America’s top wineries and of course taste your way through the different grapes and vines.
