• A negative PCR is still mandatory upon arrival in Ecuador, however travelers won’t have to comply with any mandatory isolation once they present the test.

  • Once at the airport, passengers selected at random will be taking rapid antigen tests. If the results are negative, travelers may continue their program normally; If the test results are positive, then mandatory isolation for ten (10) days will be required in one of the authorized hotels.

  • It’s important to mention that to enter Galapagos Islands, presenting a PCR test with a negative result taken maximum 96 hours prior to arrival to the islands, is a requirement for admission. That means, that if the passengers first travel in continental Ecuador they need to take a PCR test locally before their flight. We can coordinate with labs and give you all the assistance necessary. The approximate cost for the test is $85 per person.

  • People who have already received the vaccine are not exempt of presenting a negative PCR test upon arriving to Ecuador or Galapagos, due to the early stages of vaccination and the lack of scientific proof of its effects.
