Itinerary Brief

Days 1-3

Rio de Janeiro

  • Unforgettable ride in the Cable Car to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.
  • Admire the view of Rio standing afoot the Christ Redeemer Statue.
  • Stroll along Rio’s golden beaches while drinking from a fresh coconut.

From the golden beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema to the iconic landmarks of the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugarloaf Mountain, you’ll quickly discover why Rio is known as the ‘Marvelous City’! Whether basking under the sun during the day or watching the sunset, from dawn to dusk Rio is always putting on a spectacular show. During your time in Rio you’ll have plenty of opportunities to capture those picture perfect photos of the Christ the Redeemer Statue at Corcovado and from high above at Sugarloaf Mountain. Regarded as one of the best cities in the world to visit, Rio de Janeiro’s views are simply too good to ignore and it is a tantalizing place that will surpass every expectation!

Days 3-5

Praia da Forte

  • 2 nights in northeastern Brazil’s paradise of Praia do Forte.
  • Over 8 miles of heavenly white sand beaches backed by palm trees.
  • Visit the TAMAR Sea Turtle Project and see baby turtles hatch.

Located on Brazil’s northeastern coast, Praia do Forte is often referred to as the Brazilian Polynesia and the 8 miles of heavenly beaches certainly live up to the name. From taking a long stroll along one of its white sand beaches to snorkeling in the crystal clear waters; Praia do Forte will not disappoint with its beauty and relaxing atmosphere. The headquarters of the TAMAR Sea Turtle Project are also in Praia do Forte and it is a worthwhile experience visiting this project which has about 23 bases across Brazil and where you can see baby turtles hatching and making their first dash to the warm waters.

Days 5-7

Salvador de Bahia

  • Explore the most fascinating city of Salvador in northern Brazil.
  • Discover the vibrant heartbeat of Brazil’s Afro-Brazilian heritage.
  • Walk along colorful Pelourinho, admire Salvador’s colonial architecture.

Travel along the Green Coast to the Historic National Monument and UNESCO Heritage beach town of Paraty. Staying in Paraty is an absolute joy as you walk along the charming cobblestone streets and admire the beautifully preserved colonial buildings. You’ll be happily snapping away and taking videos of this historic, living and breathing museum. As well as being one of Brazil’s most picturesque towns, Paraty is also renowned for producing some of the best cachaça liquor in the country. During your stay, make sure to sip your way through its many varieties but be careful…in the cocktail form of a caipirinha although sweet, they pack quite a punch so pace yourself!

Days 7-9

Morro do Sao Paulo

  • 2 nights on the heavenly, car free island of Morro de Sao Paulo.
  • Find your own secluded paradise beach hopping down Tinhare’s coast.
  • Watch dolphins perform acrobatics at sunset from Tapirandu Fortress.

Situated just off the coast of Salvador de Bahia, is the island of Tinhare and you’ll be staying in the charming and car free village of Morro de Sao Paulo. The laidback atmosphere of the Mediterranean-style village and of course its heavenly beaches makes Morro de Sao Paulo the perfect place to relax in northern Brazil. TInhare’s coast is lined with some of the country’s best beaches and all you have to do is find the perfect one for you.
